PREFACE

Anand Agrawal — ENGINEER · INDUSTRIALIST · INVESTOR

I.

PREFACE

A few words to begin.

Anand Agrawal is a Kathmandu Hetauda-based entrepreneur whose work spans manufacturing, trade, and the financial markets. Educated first as a computer engineer and later as a business graduate in finance, he has built a working life that sits at the intersection of two disciplines: the precision of systems and the patience of capital.

He has been actively managing businesses since 2007, growing a portfolio that today extends across Kattha and Cutch manufacturing, steel and hardware trading, equity-market investing, and the bullion trade. Each venture is run with the same conviction — that good businesses are built quietly, over long timelines, and in service of the people who help build them.
II.

ON PRACTICE

Four ventures, one philosophy.

— I —

Kattha & Cutch Manufacturing

A traditional industry turned into modern automatic processing rooted in the acacia catechu, supplying both indigenous and industrial buyers with carefully processed kattha and cutch — products with deep cultural and commercial significance.

— II —

Steel & Hardware Trading

A trading operation named Tayal Brothers Pvt,. Ltd moving steel and hardware goods through the supply chains that underpin construction and industry across the region — a business built on relationships, reliability, and timing. The business also focuses on agricultural tools and accessories.

— III —

Stock Market Investment

Active participation in the equity markets, applying a finance-trained eye to opportunities both domestic and abroad — guided more by conviction and patience than by the daily noise of the ticker. As a managing director of Maruti Investment Pvt. Ltd., he is actively following the principles of value investment.

— IV —

Bullion

A presence in the precious-metals trade — gold, silver and Metal through Pashupati Bullion and Mints Pvt. Ltd.— a business as old as commerce itself, requiring discipline in pricing, prudence in storage, and a long view on macroeconomic tides. Importing and distributing is major business.
